A+ Setup Confirmation Checklist

1. Bias (higher timeframe)
- Daily / 4H structure is clear (bullish HH/HL or bearish LH/LL)
- I am only looking in that direction
- I am not fading a fresh displacement just because it "looked extended"
2. Liquidity
- I can point to the pool that was swept (equal highs/lows, session high/low, or obvious stops)
- The sweep happened, then price rejected. I am not still inside the hunt
- My target is a real opposing liquidity pool, not a round number I like
3. Shift
- Market structure shift / CHoCH is in on my execution timeframe
- Displacement is there (impulsive candles, not a grind)
- I am not calling a tiny inside-bar "displacement"
4. Point of interest
- There is a valid order block, FVG, or IFVG in premium (for shorts) or discount (for longs)
- Price has not already chewed through that POI
- I can place a stop beyond the POI without needing a miracle
5. Timing
- This is during a kill zone or a session expansion, not dead Asian chop unless that is the plan
- News is not about to spike through my stop
- I have time to manage the trade. I will not leave a naked stop and walk away on a guess
6. Risk
- Risk is a fixed % of the account (write it: ______ %)
- Lot size was calculated from the stop distance, not guessed
- I know TP1 / TP2 / TP3 before I click
- I will trail to breakeven after 10-20 pips, per academy rules
Rule
If you cannot explain the trade in one sentence ("swept SSL, shifted, returning to the FVG in discount, targeting BSL"), do not take it.
