Risk disclosure
1. Trading can lose you money โ all of it
Trading forex, gold and metals, indices, stocks, options and cryptocurrencies carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses: you can lose more than you expected, quickly, and in some products more than your initial deposit. Only ever trade money you can afford to lose entirely, without it changing your life.
2. Education only. Not advice.
Everything MarksFxAcademy LLC publishes โ courses, lessons, live sessions, classes, trade ideas, alerts, chats, the simulator, the journal, 1-on-1 sessions and copy trading โ is educational. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice and it is not tailored to you. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or money manager, and we never hold your funds or your broker logins.
3. Trade ideas are examples, not instructions
Ideas shared live or by alert show Mark's reasoning at that moment. They may be late, wrong, or already invalid by the time you see them, and we have no duty to update them. Whether to trade, what size, where the stop goes and when to exit are your decisions alone.
4. Past performance is not a guarantee
Any results shown โ Mark's, the copy-trading track record, or other members' โ are historical and individual. They do not predict your results. Markets change, and strategies that worked can stop working.
5. Copy trading
If you connect your broker account to the copier, trades are placed in your account automatically at the risk setting you choose. Your results will differ from Mark's because of your lot size, your broker's spreads and execution, slippage and timing. Losses can accumulate quickly. You can pause or stop copying at any time, and you remain responsible for your account at all times. The signed Copy Trading Agreement applies.
6. Simulated results
The simulator replays real historical prices but does not involve real money, real execution, spreads, slippage or the pressure of live trading. Simulated performance is not an indication of live performance.
7. Your responsibilities
- Decide your own risk rules before you trade, and keep them.
- Check that trading the products discussed is legal and appropriate where you live.
- Choose and vet your own broker; we do not control brokers or prop firms and are not responsible for them.
- Seek independent professional advice if you are unsure whether trading is suitable for you.
